See The Number of Children King Solomon Had Despite The 1,000 Women

For a long time now, I've been fed with loads of thoughts about the number of offsprings of the wisest king who ever lived on earth, King Solomon. This man who happened to be the Son of King David, was truly loved by God as he was provided with virtually everything a man would ever need in life - wealth, good health, wisdom, etc. One important fact about King Solomon, he never joked with God in terms of offering sacrifices to Him: King Solomon was a cheerful sacrificer. In the Book of 1 Kings. 8:63, he offered 142,000 animals to God during the dedication of the Holy Temple. (And Solomon offered a sacrifice of peace offerings, which he offered unto the LORD, two and twenty thousand oxen, and an hundred and twenty thousand sheep. So the king and all the children of Israel dedicated the house of the LORD. 1 Kings:8:63).

As we all know, King Solomon got married to 700 wives, while having 300 concubines as backup; making it a total of 1,000 women under his care. (And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 1 Kings:11:3). For this reason, I started wondering - if a man should have 1,000 wives, and each of those women give birth to three children, then, they would have a total of 3,000 children. Or, what if some of the women gave birth to 5 children while others, 6 children, then, they would have made a small country. On this note, I had to carryout my research from the Bible, the number of children produced by King Solomon and his 1,000 women. Here is what i found:

1) He had a son named Rehoboam who reigned in his stead when he died (And he had seven hundred wives, princesses, and three hundred concubines: and his wives turned away his heart. 1 Kings:11:3).

2) He also had a daughter named Taphath, who got married to the son of Abinadam (The son of Abinadab, in all the region of Dor; which had Taphath the daughter of Solomon to wife: 1 Kings:4:11)

3) And finally, Basmath, the daughter of Solomon who got married to Ahimaaz (Ahimaaz was in Naphtali; he also took Basmath the daughter of Solomon to wife: 1 Kings:4:15).

Hence, the recorded number of Children of King Solomon were only three, despite the 1,000 women he had.
