Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, has insisted that Lionel Messi is not the best footballer in history.
Ancelotti stated this during a press conference on Thursday.
According to him, there have been many greats like Diego Maradona, Alfredo Di Stefano and Johann Cruyff, who have played the game.
He said:
"Messi the best in history? He's a great player but I can't say who's been the best.
"There have been so many wonderful players... Maradona, Di Stéfano, Cruyff.. I don't know."
Messi is being widely regarded as the greatest of all time (GOAT), after he 'completed' football by winning the 2022 World Cup with Argentina.
