"Far From Home"- Football will not be returning home to England as they bow out of the world cup

England will not be progressing to the Semifinals of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar. 

France defeated England 2 goals to 1 in a relatively fierce contest. Aurélien Tchouaméni opened the scoring with a thunderous stroke in the 17th minute. After intense pressure from England, France conceded a penalty which was converted by Harry Kane in the 54th minute.

The game was fairly balanced until Oliver Giroud gave France the lead again which was almost canceled by another reckless penalty conceded by France. Unfortunately, Harry Kane couldn't convert this one.

France will face Morocco in the Semi-finals with the hope of making back-to-back finals.
